ASG Named Certified Robot Integrator by Robotics Industry Association
CLEVELAND (PRWEB) April 03, 2018 -- ASG, Division of Jergens, Inc. is proud to announce their new title as an RIA [Robotics Industry Association] Certified Robot Integrator! Achieving this certification shows ASG’s continued commitment in developing high levels of proficiency, depth of knowledge, and expertise in the areas of safety compliance and robotic systems integration.
The certification process was developed in 2012 to set the standards for the industry. It sets the benchmark in safety, quality, and engineering capabilities, amongst others. The rigorous exam consists of meeting pre-requisites, such as performing risk assessments, an onsite audit, and hands-on testing that includes in depth robot programming. In certifying two Experts, and three Technicians, ASG has proven itself to be among an elite group that may call themselves RIA Certified Robot Integrators.
During the hands-on testing, ASG used the Toshiba Machine TH650A SCARA robot. This is the first time a SCARA robot has been used for the RIA certification exam. The TH650A offers consistent reliable performance, repetitive accuracy, and user-friendly programming. TM Robotics teamed up with ASG in September of 2016. In so doing, the TM Robotic line has become an integral part of the ASG Automation advanced screw driving machine portfolio.
