Vasco Ventures Receives Police Appreciation Award For Collaboration With Hempstead PD
NEW YORK (PRWEB) April 04, 2018 -- Vasco Ventures, a New York City-based real estate investment firm, recently acquired a famous building in Hempstead, New York. The building, best known as The Clinton Pavillion, or Hempstead Executive Plaza, is considered a landmark in the community.
While the acquisition is notable on its own, the resulting collaboration with the Hempstead Police Department is remarkable and details just one of Vasco’s core business strategies. Vasco is dedicated to and determined to help the communities they invest in and make charitable donations that will help the local population.
Hempstead Police had used the roof of the building as a receptor for emergency dispatch services. Upon acquiring the property, Vasco (alongside its founder, Ephraim Vashovsky) received numerous lucrative bids from local radio stations and cell phone service providers to use the roof for radio reception and satellite receptors. This antenna would help bring a higher level of cell service to the area. However, Vashovsky believed it was in the best interest of the community to allow the Hempstead PD continued access.
“We at Vasco pride ourselves in supporting our community,” Vashovsky said. “We understand the importance of the Hempstead Police and it is an honor to allow them continued access of our rooftop for radio transmissions at no charge.”
As a result of their ongoing cooperation, Vasco Ventures received an award from the department, as well as a letter from the Chief of Police, Michael McGowan. The Business Award is given to those businesses which collaborate with the police to achieve their goals.
Beyond use from the police, the City of Hempstead remains a tenant of the Pavillion, occupying its office space. Other local businesses utilize the rest of the space.
In the coming months, Vasco intends to spend $2M renovating the parking lot, HVAC system, and public areas in the building.
