Tru Optik Names Frans Vermeulen New Chief Operating Officer

Seasoned Technology and Advertising Executive Joins the Leading OTT Measurement and Data Management Company

Tru Optik, the audience intelligence and data-management platform at the forefront of Over-the-Top (OTT) and Connected TV (CTV), announced that technology and media/advertising veteran, Frans Vermeulen, has joined the Company as Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Mr. Vermeulen comes to Tru Optik with 20 years of experience in TV, digital, mobile and programmatic ad marketplaces, SaaS sales strategy and corporate development. In his role as COO, Mr. Vermeulen will be responsible for growing Tru Optik’s revenue, commercial enterprise and global expansion. Additionally, Mr. Vermeulen will lead Tru Optik’s business operations and implement a recruitment strategy to expand Tru Optik’s teams domestically and abroad.

Most recently, Mr. Vermeulen served as the Vice President of Advanced Strategy and Operations at Comcast where he focused on global advertising strategy, related technologies, partnerships/corporate development and the acquisitions of ThisTechnology, Adazzle, VisibleWorld and He also drove strategy for the Comcast Platform Services group along with its portfolio of companies and technology businesses including FreeWheel, STRATA, and VisibleWorld along with Comcast Wholesale and thePlatform.

Prior to Comcast, Mr. Vermeulen served as Senior Vice President of Global Solutions and Corporate Development at FreeWheel before the company’s acquisition by Comcast in 2014. He also held key management positions at aCerno (acquired Akamai), Cendant, and DoubleClick (acquired by Google).
