The Barrie Colts of the OHL were extremely happy to get Andrei Svechnikov back in their lineup for Game #6 of their first-round playoff series vs the Mississauga Steelheads. Svechnikov exploded for 5 points in the series clinching win, bringing the same dynamic offensive game he has displayed all year to the table.
“Svechnikov has impressed me every time I've seen him play this year” said ISS Director of Scouting Dennis MacInnis. “He has a great combination of size, skating and puck skills to go along with his exceptional offensive hockey sense. He knows how to find the soft areas on the ice to score goals, and can really dangle for his size, showing outstanding one on one ability. He also has patience and playmaking to go along with a great release. He looks to be NHL ready next season and will be a future top line scoring winger.”
