Bruce Bibee’s New Book “The Flight of Pegasus” Follows the Seventeen-year Captivity of Sir Robert, a Templar knight, in the Mameluke Empire after the Fall of Acre
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (PRWEB) April 09, 2018 -- Bruce Bibee, a transpersonal psychotherapist and kung fu master, has completed “The Flight of Pegasus.” After the Battle of Acre (1291), Sir Robert, a Templar knight, is taken captive by Emir Bektash al-Fakhri. Once nursed back to health, Robert becomes one of Bektash’s bodyguards and finds companions in an Irish priest, Sufi warriors, Jewish healers, and a Buddhist monk that mediates discussions among these religious cousins. In order to stay alive, Robert must learn the intricacies of Moslem society and religion, let alone managing the many wars the Mameluks fight during the next seventeen years. When Bektash dies, in 1306, Robert is manumitted and begins the homeward journey through North Africa, only to find the French king and the Pope have betrayed the Templars. Robert won’t let that stand unchallenged.
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Bruce Bibee’s provoking account contains speculative thoughts and perspectives with regards to the psychology of all religions in the world and its influences in the human mind.
