ATLANTA (PRWEB) April 04, 2018 -- Season three of the series “From the Bottom Up” on BET HER will feature Lovely Mimi of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” and will star author Angela Stanton, perhaps best known for her scathing exposé of Phaedra Parks from “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” The third season of the series premiered on March 3 and will cover the highs and lows of women who have overcome adversity. Executive producers Queen Latifah and Nicci Gilbert have created “From the Bottom Up” in tribute to strong women who have faced serious obstacles and are now living their own truths and dealing with the consequences of their past. They have signed Angela Stanton as one of the stars of this season of the series.
Lovely Mimi is best known as the owner of two stylish salons in Georgia and Maryland and has been featured as part of season six of the reality show, “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta.” Her unique style and sense of humor made her a fan favorite and earned her over a million followers on Instagram. Born Myha Luong, Lovely Mimi has two children with her husband Remy. In “From the Bottom Up,” she will reveal the secrets of her past to Angela Stanton as part of her planned memoir, My Lovely Life: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
In My Lovely Life: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Myha will discuss in-depth her early childhood in a refugee camp in the Philippines and her family’s escape to America. Details of her teenage years will also be revealed, including her use of alcohol, her time spent in detention centers and group homes and her life on the streets in Silver Springs, Maryland. The book will trace Myha’s journey from these inauspicious beginnings to her current position of success and stability.
Myha will be receiving help in writing this memoir from Angela Stanton, an international best-selling author and reality star in her own right. Angela has won acclaim for several books, including Lies of a Real Housewife, Life Beyond These Walls, Dismissed With Prejudice and Injustice Within Our Justice System: The Lavarn Watson Story. She is also the owner of Stanton Publishing House near Atlanta, Georgia, which will be publishing the memoir under its own imprint. By working with Myha to write My Lovely Life: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Angela will continue her tradition of telling the hard truths and sharing her unique perspectives with her readers.
