Edgenuity Solutions Chosen in National Review of Edtech Tools
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (PRWEB) April 05, 2018 -- Edgenuity, a leading provider of online curriculum and instructional services for the K-12 market, today announced its participation in the LEAP Pilot Network & Elevate’s annual product selection event, Match Day, on April 7.
The LEAP Pilot Network & Elevate are a part of LEAP Innovations, a Chicago-based nonprofit that works with educators to design and implement a personalized approach to learning. As a member of the 2018-19 cohort of the LEAP Innovations Pilot Network & Elevate Programs, Edgenuity was selected as an edtech provider that could effectively meet the math and literacy needs of Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and suburban students.
On Match Day, Edgenuity will have the opportunity to conduct pilot demonstrations of its Courseware and UpSmart solutions for LEAP educators. Edtech providers go through a rigorous curation process, led by LEAP’s assembly of educators and national experts in learning/cognitive science, pedagogy, and personalized learning, who independently review and make recommendations. Only 30 percent of applicants pass curation and are then invited to meet with educators on Match Day for in-depth demos tailored to schools’ individual needs and goals.
“LEAP’s Match Day provides a great platform for us to meet with Chicago-area educators face-to-face and demonstrate the value of our Courseware and UpSmart solutions,” said Sari Factor, CEO of Edgenuity. “As more schools in the LEAP network demonstrate readiness for innovation and personalized curriculums, Edgenuity is there to meet their needs with targeted, relevant and engaging learning opportunities.”
After experiencing in-depth reviews on Match Day, school teams will have the option to participate in year-long pilot programs with the edtech company of their choosing. During this time, schools will receive on-site coaching from LEAP as well as assistance with personalization, implementation and troubleshooting from each company.
“Just like students must be the center of their learning, educators must be at the center of technology decision making and implementation design. By bringing educator voices into the review process, we’re able to curate tools that respect personalized learning pedagogy and reflect the real needs of educators and students,” said Kristen Howell, Director of the LEAP Pilot Network. “We are excited to make innovative programs from Edgenuity more accessible to teachers, as an additional tool to support teaching and learning.”
42 Chicago-area schools applied to participate in the 5th Cohort of the Pilot Network & Elevate, and will be meeting with 26 edtech providers on April 7.
