2018 Angel Capital Association Summit Hosts the Most Diverse Gathering of Angel Investors Worldwide
Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) April 06, 2018 -- The Angel Capital Association (ACA), the world's largest professional organization for accredited investors, will host investors from around the world at its 2018 ACA Summit, April 18 - 20 at the Westin Copley Place, Boston. The 2018 ACA Summit, ”Charting a Course in a Changing Market,” will focus on impact investing, disruptive technologies (artificial Intelligence, blockchain, Internet of Things, and cyber security), the changing face of angels, positive ways for investors to address unconscious bias and more.
American angel investors pump an estimated $25 Billion into more than 70,000 startups across the country every year. In turn, these innovative startups create the most net new jobs in our economy and distribute new products and services that make a difference in people's lives.
“Angel investors enjoy sharing their expertise with other angels to grow the professionalism of our field and to develop the relationships and trust to invest together in great startups,” said Marianne Hudson, executive director, Angel Capital Association. “The ACA Summit is the ideal place for savvy investors to share ideas, get gold standard education, and keep up with important trends in early-stage investing.”
Sponsored this year by deep tech investing platform Propel(x), the ACA Summit is the largest professional development event for angel investors. More than 700 ACA members, accredited investors, and startup ecosystem professionals from around the world are expected to attend to network, share smart practices in angel investing, and discuss top issues and trends.
Keynote speakers include:
● Joanne Wilson, angel investor, blogger and Gotham Gal Ventures;
● Terry Jones, Founder, Travelocity, and Founding Chairman, kayak.com;
● Tom Croswell, President and CEO, Tufts Health Plan on the power of diversity to grow profits and returns;
● Jeff Mortimer, Director of Investment Strategy, BNY Mellon;
● Dana Kanze, Columbia University author of studies on diversity, gender bias, and disruptive forces in the market, including “Male and Female Entrepreneurs Get Asked Different Questions by VCs — and It Affects How Much Funding They Get.”
Unique Investor Opportunities Added to Summit
New this year, premier sponsor Propel(x) is hosting Propel(Live) -- a weeklong investor program where angels can explore opportunities in three cutting-edge companies, meet founders, and invest without any transaction fees or carry. The investor program will run from April 13 - 20, ending on the last day of the Summit. During the Summit, participating startups will present live to angel investors.
