CAMARILLO, Calif. (PRWEB) April 06, 2018
Elite Academic Academy, a new public charter school offering programs for homeschool, virtual and blended learners, is now enrolling for the 2018 summer track and the 2018–19 school year. The school will educate TK-12 students in the counties of Los Angeles, San Diego, San Bernardino, Orange, Riverside, Kern, Inyo and Imperial, with plans to expand statewide over the next year.
Unlike other California charter schools, Elite offers numerous independent study options, personal learning plans, and individual support from credentialed, highly qualified instructors. Both homeschool and virtual families will have the opportunity to direct their educational funds, something not commonly offered by California charter schools. Funds are granted per student, per school year.
- Elite Virtual Academy (grades 6-12)
This 100% online program provides structured flexibility, individual support from highly qualified instructors. Funding: $1700 (includes aligned, award-winning curriculum from StrongMind).
- Elite Homeschool Academy (grades TK-12)
Parents are the primary educators in this program as families enjoy numerous curriculum and enrichment options and personalized guidance and support from Elite. Funding grades TK–8: $2700, funding grades 9–12: $3200.
- Elite Blended Academy (Starting Fall 2018)
A combination of both virtual and in-person independent study programs supports those who need more hands-on support to be successful.
- Elite Enrichment Academies
Athletic, Career Technical (CTE) and Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) Academies enable Elite students to participate in and direct educational funds to a wide variety of enrichment activities.
Elite’s leadership consists of a combined 75-plus years of experience in traditional, charter and virtual education, allowing Elite to provide a truly customized education, as CEO and founder Brent Woodard stated:
“Our founding team is thrilled to offer a top quality, student-centered education that meets the unique needs and interests of every pupil,” said CEO Brent Woodard, PhD. “We are building an exceptional faculty and staff that share in our mission of transforming independent study within public education so that all students graduate college and career ready.”
