CYPRESS, Calif. (PRWEB) April 06, 2018 -- Trident University International (Trident) today announced that the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) has named Trident faculty member Dr. Michael Trimmell Administrator of the Year in Region XV in the Professor of Education category.
The ACSA is the largest umbrella organization for school leaders in the United States, serving more than 17,000 California educators. ACSA's top priority is advocating for public school students in kindergarten through grade 12, as well as adult learners. ASCA’s mission is to be the driving force of education in California and beyond.
In addition to his faculty role at Trident, Dr. Trimmell serves as principal of Little Lake City School District in Santa Fe Springs, Calif. The Administrator of the Year Award honors Dr. Trimmell for his achievements and dedication to public education.

An adjunct professor in Trident’s College of Education (COE), Dr. Trimmell teaches Leadership Theory and Practice, as well as all K-12 concentration courses in the COE. He has also completed course development for elementary/secondary leadership, as well as administration courses in the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) and Master of Arts in Education (MAED) programs.
Dr. Trimmell is an experienced educator and administrator, having previously held positions as a biology teacher and middle school assistant principal. His areas of expertise include educational administrator, pedagogical content knowledge, science specific professional development, and STEM education.
Dr. Trimmell holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from California State University, Long Beach, a Master of Arts in Education from National University, and a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Developmental Biology from California State University, Fullerton.
