Jason B. Freeman named as DBJ 2018 40 Under 40 Honoree
DALLAS (PRWEB) April 11, 2018 -- The Dallas Business Journal today named Jason Freeman to its list of 40 Under 40. Freeman, the founding partner of Freeman Law, will be recognized with 39 other impressive honorees in a special publication of the Dallas Business Journal and at an awards event on March 20.
More than 350 eligible nominations were submitted this year, representing nearly every industry of North Texas. In the end, judges selected the most impressive group of 40 individuals under age 40.
Freeman impressed judges as a dual-credentialed attorney-CPA, trial attorney, law professor, professional speaker, and accomplished author. He is entering his fifth year as a professor at SMU's Dedman School of Law. He is a risk taker, and a driven and ethical entrepreneur, who founded his firm at the age of 34.
Freeman is the president of the North Texas chapter of the American Academy of Attorney-CPAs, serves on the board of the Collin County Bar Association and is a member of the Dallas and Frisco Bar Associations. He also serves on the Texas Society of CPA's governing Executive Board, and on the Board of Directors for the Dallas Society of CPA's. In addition, Freeman serves on the Tax Council for both the State Bar of Texas and Dallas Bar Association and is an editor and tax columnist for Today's CPA. He has authored nearly 40 publications on tax, litigation, and white-collar defense topics.
“Jason Freeman is an example of why this year’s class of honorees is so impressive,” said Tracy Merzi, publisher of the Dallas Business Journal. “His landmark cases and industry recognition is truly noteworthy.”
