Becky Lewis, a compassionate pet lover, has completed her new book “Emy Cat”: a beautiful tribute in memory of Emy, the family’s cat, who lived a full and happy life with the author’s family to the end of her life at the age of thirteen.
Author Lewis intersperses her full-color photographs with captions written in the first-person voice of the late Emy—naturally her owners were very in tune with what she had been thinking at various moments of her life: “I found my forever home when I was nine years old. New neighbors moved in next door and adopted me because my house was occupied by my son, Sylvester, and my brother, Petey. I was so grateful they adopted me and love me that I brought my new owners seven gray field mice, one at a time.”
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, Becky Lewis’s new book serves as a loving homage to the family’s beloved pet—although Emy’s universal and adorable catlike tendencies will capture the hearts of cat lovers everywhere who didn’t have the honor of knowing Emy personally.
Readers who wish to experience this heartwarming work can purchase “Emy Cat” at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play, or Barnes and Noble.
