Houston E-Waste Recycling Company Pursues Highest Industry Standard

We remain passionate about helping both our customers and the environment. - Raffi Bekhor

R.A.K.I. Computers has a busy 2018 ahead of them. After a successful first quarter, the Houston-based e-waste recycling company is looking ahead to two major events while celebrating one massive milestone.

From April 30th to May 3rd, they’ll be running a booth at the 50th Annual Offshore Technology Conference (OTC). The conference will be held at NRG Park in Houston, TX and will host over 70,000 attendees from around the world. Since 1969, engineers, scientists, energy executives, managers and technicians have gathered from over 100 countries to share innovations in the energy industry. R.A.K.I. will have a hard-drive shredder on-site and will shred up to 10 hard drives per attendee free of charge, by appointment. Attendees should contact Larry Whittaker at larry@rakicomp.com.

Then, on June 26th, the R.A.K.I. team will head to Washington, D.C., to spend four days at the World Gas Conference. The World Gas Conference is a global event held every three years. The United States last hosted the conference in 1988. It is the world’s largest gas conference. This year’s theme is “Fueling the Future.” Speakers and policy makers will present their views, and 350 exhibiters, including R.A.K.I., will be on site.

Upon returning home, R.A.K.I. will celebrate their recent ISO certification upgrade. Their ISO 14001:2004 certification has recently been upgraded to an ISO 14001:2015 certification. This upgrade demonstrates R.A.K.I.’s continued success at meeting the exacting standards the international community sets for the electronics waste and recycling industries.

Through all this, R.A.K.I.’s president, Raffi Bekhor, notes a commitment to the core values and foundational basics that have made the company successful in the past.

“We’ll continue to do business the old-fashioned way, following all applicable regulations and seeking the highest grade of third-party certifications,” says Bekhor. “We remain passionate about helping both our customers and the environment.”
