Greenberg Traurig Grows Real Estate Practice in Tokyo with Structured Finance Attorney
TOKYO (PRWEB) April 10, 2018 -- Koh Ueda, a senior associate with significant experience in the structured financing of real estate projects, has joined the Real Estate Practice in the Tokyo office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP. He joins Greenberg Traurig from Nishimura & Asahi, a leading Japanese law firm, where he was a member of the firm’s securitization practice group for more than 12 years.

Ueda’s prior work includes assisting clients with securitization transactions for a wide range of asset types, including, among others, real property, whole business, and monetary claims, such as commercial and residential mortgages, auto loans, and consumer loans. Additionally, during 2012-2013, he worked at The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. in Singapore as an in-house counsel addressing 13 jurisdictions in the Asia-Oceania region.

Ueda is a graduate of Boston University School of Law (LL.M. in Banking and Financial Law, 2012) and of the University of Tokyo (LL.B., 2004). He is admitted to the practice of law in Japan and is fluent in English, in addition to Japanese. His recent article contributions include, Corpus Juris Finance (Completely Revised Version) (Book 1) August 2017; The International Comparative Legal Guide to: Securitisation 2017 (Japan Chapter), May 2017; and Syndicated Loans in Asia: Contract terms and practices to secure collateral, August 2016.
