Second Baptist Church - Santa Ana, CA (SBC) Host 4th Annual Orange County First Ladies Health Day – April 22, 2018
SANTA ANA, Calif. (PRWEB) April 12, 2018 -- On Sunday, April 22, 2018 beginning at 9 am until 2:30 pm, the Second Baptist Church of Santa Ana, CA (SBC) will host the 4th Annual Orange County First Ladies Health Day.
As a faith-based initiative, the event will bring together the communities of greater Southern California and will be led by the First Ladies of several local churches.

The event is nationally recognized, sponsored by Walgreens and produced by Danielle Ashley Group of Chicago. It was created to empower the First Ladies of the prospective churches to take a leadership role in promoting good health for the citizens of their communities.
The First Lady of SBC and Event Hostess – Mrs. Tanishe Pitts, says, “Providing a free annual community health fair is a privilege for us at Second Baptist Church. We always look forward to having our local community participate in, and benefit from, the activities and information. We make every effort to do God's work outside the church walls, and this year our focus is on the body as a temple.“
Open to the public and free of charge - the day will include screenings & testings for:
• HIV
• blood pressure
• diabetes
• weight related measuring – like BMI (body mass index)
• vision test
• mental health
• Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
• prostate awareness
All testing and screenings are made available confidentially, at no charge.
Over 400 participants are expected to visit the more than 25 vendors who have committed to attend.
There will be fun activities for kids and adults – including youth dancers, a self-defense demonstration and an Omega Psi Phi fraternity step show. Representation by Orange County Fire Authority and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is expected.

SBC is led by Senior Pastor Rev. Dr. Ivan S. Pitts. At 95 years, SBC is the oldest historically African-American church in Orange County, CA. Today, a fully multi-cultural, Christian church - it shares its two campus with a diverse group of Vietnamese, Hispanic and White congregations.
