It has always been William Fowler’s dream to write a book since he was in college. Fowler now realizes that dream as he debuts as a published author with the release of “I Am America” (published by AuthorHouse), a book containing a wide variety of poems he wrote in 2016, reflecting his feelings and emotions.

“I get very emotional over certain things, like politics, social issues and pop culture. I express my feelings through writing,” says Fowler. In this tome, readers will find poems about serious current-day issues, including politics. There are patriotic poems as well as poems outlining how human beings can improve the world. Readers will find humor and whimsy as well.

“I want the reader to enjoy reading my poems as much as I enjoyed writing them. I want them to be inspired, think and laugh,” Fowler concludes.

An excerpt from the poem, “I Am America”:
I live from sea to shining sea,
The land of the brave and home of the free.
On my flag pole, the Star Spangled Banner.
I teach my children how to have manners.
I am America the Beautiful,
The land of the dutiful.
