CDR Fundraising Group is expanding beyond our strong East Coast presence with strategically-located new offices in Los Angeles and Tulsa to better serve our growing base of clients.

James Moore, chairman of Moore DM Group (MDM), today announced the expansion of the company’s agency services devoted to supporting nonprofit organizations. The expansion includes two additional CDR Fundraising Group offices in Los Angeles and Tulsa, as well as the hiring of Lisa Scott Benson as chief executive officer of CDR. CDR President Angela Struebing, will continue leading the CDR headquarters in Bowie, Md.

In addition, Janet Tonner was named president of Direct Donor Television (DDTV), the leading provider of DRTV to nonprofits in North America. Tonner has been with the company for four years and will continue to serve as vice president of analytics for CDR.

“CDR Fundraising Group is expanding beyond our strong East Coast presence with strategically-located new offices in Los Angeles and Tulsa to better serve our growing base of clients,” Moore said. “With the hiring of Lisa, we cannot be more pleased with the senior team we have assembled to provide the full array of agency services to the nonprofit community. Lisa brings an excellent depth of multi-channel experience in growing revenue for nonprofits.”

Benson will replace Geoffrey Peters as CEO of the expanded CDR Fundraising Group. Peters will continue his role as president of Moore DM Group and will assume responsibilities managing all MDM agency and agency support services, video and television production, media buying, analytics, database, payment processing and other services offered by MDM to support its nonprofit clients.

Benson, former president of One & All (the recently merged Omnicom companies, formerly known as Russ Reid and Grizzard), brings 30 years of direct response and brand experience in the nonprofit and commercial sectors.

“Lisa has conceived and led many of the most innovative and effective new strategies in donor acquisition and cultivation for international, national, and local nonprofit organizations,” Peters said. “She is bold, imaginative, passionate, collaborative, and ultimately pragmatic on behalf of the clients she serves. CDR is excited to combine Lisa’s talent and experience with our existing team of nonprofit and fundraising experts to attract more donors and engage more generous hearts.”

“Angela is a nationally recognized fundraising strategist and will partner with Lisa, remaining as president of the Bowie, Md. headquarters of CDR. Angela has led significant growth in the client base of CDR and will continue to provide services to those clients as well as strategically working with other MDM clients on their fundraising programs as an expansion of her duties,” added Moore.

Tonner’s promotion to president of Direct Donor Television will continue to build the company’s resume as the full-service provider of DRTV services to all MDM agency clients. Tonner works alongside Tracy Trost, of the MDM video and production team, and Lois Ephraim, chief creative strategist for MDM. Direct Donor Television creates, produces, plans and buys more DRTV for nonprofit organizations than any other agency in North America.

Peters continued, “With the recent addition of Lois managing creative, and the breakthrough technology of the only Neuro-Fundraising Lab in the world, we are providing cutting edge pre-tested creative in multiple channels. With our top-notch analytics team, we can create, test and validate fundraising strategies, measure their effect, and project their future on the nonprofit’s entire fundraising program.”
