MICE Industry Leader Eduardo Chaillo to Present Insightful Session at LAMITE’s 2018 Event
New York, NY (PRWEB) April 12, 2018 -- Latin America Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchange (LAMITE), the industry’s first and only one-to-one event held in private, deluxe hotel rooms that targets the Latin America-based MICE buyer, will bring industry veteran Eduardo Chaillo back for his third year in a row to share trends, statistics and success stories of destinations that have opted for greater development in the meetings and incentives industries.
Travel suppliers intent on increasing their Latin America meeting and incentive business will be coming from all over the world to participate in LAMITE, June 18-22, 2018 at the Renaissance Santo Domingo Jaragua Hotel & Casino and the Sheraton Santo Domingo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
Post-show surveys have consistently shown extremely positive attendee satisfaction with the value Chaillo’s presentations have brought to their LAMITE experience year over year, hence why event organizer, Questex Travel Group, publisher of International Meetings Review, felt it important to have him return for the 2018 program.
Chaillo will present “Economic, Social and Educational Relevance of the Meeting and Incentive Industries,” which will delve into the role Latin America plays in the global marketplace and will propose steps to bring the region to its rightful place in the landscape.
Chaillo is the global general manager for Latin America at Maritz Global Events, serving as a bridge builder between the Mexico-Latin American industry members and the global meetings community. He worked in various roles at the Mexico Tourism Board for 12 years, most recently serving as executive director for the meetings and incentive market. Chaillo has also served on multiple industry boards, was the recipient of the Joint Meetings Industry Council’s Profile and Power Award, been recognized as one of the inductees for the Convention Industry Council´s Hall of Leaders, and named one of the 15 most influential leaders in the Latin American meetings market by Mas Expos magazine. He also owns consulting firm Global Meetings and Tourism Specialists in the US.
“I’m very excited to participate in this event for the third year in a row,” said Chaillo. “LAMITE is one of the few events that truly encapsulates the critical role Latin America plays in the global MICE market, while the broad spectrum of attendees makes it an excellent opportunity to network and help move the industry forward.”
LAMITE brings together prequalified, top-producing MICE buyers and global suppliers for prearranged meetings, high-caliber networking, culturally immersive activities, and valuable educational opportunities.
Suppliers will include hotels, resorts and spas, cruise lines, tour operators, destination management companies and sought-after destinations around the globe. Buyers represent key Latin American meeting and incentive purchasing sectors including corporate direct, incentive houses, meeting/event management companies, and travel agencies.
