SurfaceInk, a Silicon Valley consumer electronic design and development consulting company, announced the addition of Voice Enabled Smart Product Creation and Deployment pioneer Scott McNeese as the new Director of Voice and Smart Solutions.

McNeese has expertise in strategic and technical marketing, business development and key account/partnership management with a focus on emerging voice, far-field and digital assistant voice technology for smart home applications.

McNeese joins SurfaceInk after recent roles that include oversight of Amazon Alexa Voice Services (AVS) alliance, development and launch of AVS reference solutions and development kits and product line manager for biometric voice recognition and authentication.
He started his career at Motorola, GTE and VLSI Technology overseeing the development, manufacturing and marketing of IC’s, the building blocks of technology for telecommunication, computing and entertainment. In positions at Philips Electronics and D&M, he created algorithms and software to glue the IC blocks together in appealing ID’s and packaging in partnership with global leaders like Apple, Dell, Yamaha and HP.
In his new role at SurfaceInk, McNeese will oversee the design process in concert with the company’s specialists in electrical, mechanical, software and ID engineering. His team works with clients to refine their product vision and match it with the ideal technologies, architecture, materials and manufacturing processes. Throughout the process he will provide clients consultation on development, manufacturing, PR and go-to-market strategies as required.
