Universal Electric Corporation Names Mark Swift to Role of Vice President of Marketing

Mark Swift was recently named Vice President of Marketing for Universal Electric Corporation, the industry-leader in overhead power distribution systems for data centers

Universal Electric Corporation (UEC), manufacturer of Starline and U-S Safety Trolley power distribution products, and leading supplier to data center/mission critical, retail, and industrial markets, is pleased to announce that Mark Swift has been promoted to the role of Vice President of Marketing.

Swift has been with UEC for over eight years, holding various positions during this timeframe, and was most recently Director of Marketing for the company. In this expanded role, he will lead the global strategic marketing and product management activities for the organization, in addition to his existing responsibilities.

Swift has over fifteen years in the data center/mission critical, telecom and cable industries. He started his technical career in the cable television and telecommunication industries, from several key roles with Armstrong Utilities, Inc. and Consolidated Communications, where he was involved in the development and launch of many new products, including IPTV and VoIP services, for both residential and commercial applications. His experiences range from engineering, product/program management, sales, and marketing.

Swift has also been a featured presenter at Data Center World, Datacenter Dynamics, Uptime Institute, 7x24 Exchange, Datacloud Europe, and SCTE. He received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Business from Grove City College, and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Geneva College.
