TEDxLadyBirdLake Announces Speaker Line-Up for May 2018 Event

On Wednesday, May 2, TEDxLadyBirdLake will host an event at the Austin Central Library from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This independently organized event, licensed by TED, will feature local voices stemming from Austin talking about what fuels their passions and what keeps Austin “weird.”

On Wednesday, May 2, TEDxLadyBirdLake will host an event at the Austin Central Library from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This independently organized event, licensed by TED, will feature local voices stemming from Austin talking about what fuels their passions and what keeps Austin “weird.”

Launched in 2009, TEDx is a program of locally organized events that bring the community together to share a TED-like experience. Some of the best talks from TEDx events have gone on to be featured on TED.com and garnered millions of views from audiences across the globe.

TEDxLadyBirdLake is excited to shed light on how Austin has become a new hub for innovation and growth that is in large part fueled by the resilient and out of the box mentality of “Keeping Austin Weird.” As a result, this mentality of Keeping Austin Weird feeds the inner drive and passions of the many diverse and wonderfully creative voices that make up the Austin community.

Due to the efforts of Executive Producers Cassaundra and Alba Melgar-C’De Baca, team members, corporate sponsors, and the TED community, a multitude of talented speakers are coming together to share how their innovative drive adds to the beautifully diverse canvas that is Austin.
