While businesses struggle to envision voice assistants like Amazon’s Alexa in their tech plans, one Silicon Valley pioneer is already showing how voice assistants will function in a real-world business application. Optmyzr provides a leading PPC Management Software system for agency and in-house pay-per-click professionals. The company is now demonstrating its business-specific Alexa skill to help Pay-Per-Click pros manage and optimize Google Adwords and Bing Ads campaigns in dynamic new ways.

Optmyzr’s prototype voice assistant skill drew rave reviews during a preview at the PPC Hero Conference in Austin, Texas, earlier this week. Optmyzr CEO & Co-founder Frederick Vallaeys demonstrated real-world deployment of voice assistant technology to help PPC experts dig deep into campaign information and take action via voice command. The demo was part of Vallaeys’ broader keynote on the emergence of artificial intelligence and machine learning in the industry.

“Voice assistant technology will reshape how people interact with data and make decisions in day-to-day business,” said Vallaeys. “A novelty until now, voice assistant tech can do far more than just turn on lights, set a thermostat or tell us the news. We see voice technology as a powerful gateway to data. It can allow us to tap the power of AI, interact with data on a more personal level and work in entirely new ways to drive results.”

Initial reaction to Vallaeys’ keynote session and Alexa preview included high praise in social media. Attendees tweeted reactions such as, “Fred just connected Alexa to Optmyzr and my mind just exploded,” and “@SiliconVallaeys just blew everyone’s mind in the room by asking Alexa how his PPC accounts were performing.”

Optmyzr is conducting final coding and testing of the Alexa-specific capability and will seek approval as a formal Alexa Skill. The company anticipates a formal launch of the voice assistant capability in May. A video demo of the capability is available on YouTube.
