Pine Lakes Country Club opened in 1927 as Ocean Forest Country Club. It's called “The Granddaddy” for being the first course on the Grand Strand and is known for being the place where the magazine Sports Illustrated was founded. Architect Craig Schreiner gave it a full-scale renovation in 2008, bringing it back into the spirit of the 1920s. The back nine still reflects the original design and the front nine was renovated to enhance the elegant experience golfers from around the world associate with Pine Lakes Country Club.

World Tour Golf Links offers the most unique golf experience available on the Grand Strand. World Tour pays tribute to 18 of the world's most renowned and challenging golf holes from three countries and nine states. Golfers can experience designs from 15 courses, including Augusta National, Winged Foot, Oakmont, Pine Valley, St. Andrews, and Royal Troon. World Tour was rated 4.5 stars by Golf Digest and named 2004 “Golf Course of the Year” by the National Golf Course Owners Association.

Litchfield Country Club was selected as the 2016 Golf Course of the Year by the Myrtle Beach Area Golf Course Owners Association and is one of the most popular golf courses along the Grand Strand. Built on the site of a former rice plantation 50 years ago, Litchfield Country Club is one of the oldest courses in the Litchfield/Pawleys Island area.
