ridgeback launches Eastern Highlands Pack (EHP), a minimalist design horizontal hydration backpack comprised of high quality materials (Dyneema X Gridstop or NeoShell), components (waterproof zipper) and apropos features (2L hydration bladder sleeve and tube opening). The pack only weighs 8 oz!

Hikers, Trail Runners, Mountain Bike Riders, and Outdoor Adventure Enthusiasts will find this newly designed pack to be a welcome innovation and their new go-to amongst a quiver of packs. It’s ultralight, durable, water resistant and comfortable.

“When I thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail, I took my hip-belt off before crossing streams and shallow rivers, climbing up or down steep sections or going across large rocks for better balance,” says Jon Espeland, Founder of ridgeback. “So, when I designed a backpack for outdoor adventures, I wanted to create something that would move in unison with me at all times and wouldn’t require any adjustments regardless of the terrain.”

Due to the low profile and position of the pack, it minimizes the distance of the fulcrum point from the body therefore minimizing the effective weight. The combination of these elements also reduces the movement response lag.

The Eastern Highlands Pack is available in 3 sizes (Small, Medium and Large) and two materials (Dyneema X Gridstop or Gray NeoShell). To order an Eastern Highlands Pack in your size and choice of material, visit ridgebackpack.com.
