LIVINGSTON, MT (PRWEB) April 26, 2018
Carter Boehm, founder of Ponderosa Films, is currently in the process of producing his latest film, "Robert the Bruce." The film, directed by Richard Gray, tells the story of the titular historic figure and his exploits as the King of Scotland. The picture has been filming in both Scotland and Montana for the past several months and is due out in 2019.
Starring Angus Macfadyen as Robert the Bruce, the movie’s script, penned by Macfadyen and Eric Belgau, will follow Moira, played by Anna Hutchison, as she, her child, niece and nephew go on a journey to save the King of Scots. Some of Macfadyen’s other roles include "We Bought a Zoo" and "The Lost City of Z." Starring alongside Macfadyen and Hutchinson are Jared Harris (John Comyn), Talitha Bateman (Iver), Emma Kenney (Briana), who has starred in the hit television show "Roseanne," Zach McGowen of "Black Sails" and the soon to be aired "Bad Boys," and Brandon Lessard, who starred in Carter’s other film, "Broken Ghost."
While Carter Boehm’s Ponderosa Films is still a young studio, it is poised to make major waves in the industry with its latest release. Carter serves as an executive producer for the film, and has even provided his own Montana ranch as a filming location.
Carter is incredibly excited for the film’s release, as he believes it tells a story that needs to be told.
“Both the cast and crew feel something special is happening here. We’ve worked in 20-below-zero weather filming in the harshest of conditions, yet we all know we have something very special. I’m lucky to have worked with the best cast and crew an executive producer could ever work with. Thanks to everyone, this will be a big hit,” said Carter Boehm of the production process of the film.
