Greenberg Traurig, P.A. Shareholder Gregory W. Herbert participated as a Panelist on April 20 during the Fourth Friday Lunch and Learn series hosted by the Orlando Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the Business Law Committee of the Orange County Bar Association and the Federal Litigation Section of the Federal Bar Association.
Herbert was part of a panel discussion titled, “How to Win a Case – From a Judge’s Perspective.” Other panelists included District Judge the Hon. Roy B. Dalton, Jr. and Magistrate Judge the Hon. Thomas B. Smith. The panel was moderated by James Wagstaffe, Esq., author of The Wagstaffe Group Practice Guide: Federal Civil Procedure Before Trial.
Herbert is a member of the Litigation Practice in the firm’s Orlando office. For more than 25 years, he has litigated and counseled clients in the areas of intellectual property law (i.e., copyright, trademark, trade dress, patent, trade secrets, and right of publicity), media/First Amendment law, Internet-related law, entertainment law and complex commercial litigation. Herbert has been board certified as a specialist in Intellectual Property Law by the Florida Bar since 2009, a distinction held by less than one percent of Florida attorneys. He has broad trial experience, jury and non-jury, in state and federal court, having tried multimillion-dollar cases to verdict as lead trial counsel. Herbert was voted by his peers as "Lawyer of the Year" in the Intellectual Property Litigation practice area in the Orlando market for 2014 and in the Patent practice area for 2016, as noted in The Best Lawyers in America annual votes.
