Furniture Mall of Kansas Partners with Love Fund 4 Children to Donate 100 Mattresses
OLATHE, Kan. (PRWEB) April 26, 2018 -- Allyson Summers, Executive Director of the Love Fund for Children, explains the ongoing need and how it affects families with limited means. "On average the Love Fund for Children receives 2-3 requests a week from youth advocates in need of beds for children in our community. Many times we learn that the children are sleeping on the floor, on sofas, or crowded into bed with several family members. Sleeping arrangements such as these often lead to sleep loss, which goes can impact a child's health and performance in school. The Love Fund is excited to partner with the Furniture Mall of Kansas to offer new beds to over 100 children in the Kansas City community in 2018."
Furniture Mall of Kansas co-owner, Jeff Winter, is equally excited to serve area families. “We believe every child should have the opportunity to be their best, and getting good sleep increases those odds. So what an opportunity to partner with the Love Fund and help invest in our children’s future.”
The Love Fund partnership extends Furniture Mall of Kansas’ continued charitable outreach with ongoing projects to help the Topeka Union Mission, Rest for Success, St. Jude’s, and the City Union Mission in Kansas City.
