ROSEVILLE, Mich. (PRWEB) April 29, 2018 -- The Detroit Tiger Alumni is hosting their annual charity golf to benefit their charity of choice, Vets Returning Home. VRH Founder Sandra Bower, has created an amazing twist to the 501(c)3’s annual charity event. Your chance to meet history in this unique auction opportunity!
The annual golf outing that features the Detroit Tigers Alumni (http://www.vetsreturninghome.org) has on this website a bidding platform. This platform allows the public to bid on their favorite retired Detroit Tiger, to a round of golf in this charity outing June 25th 2018. The successful bidder will enjoy bringing their foursome for 18 rounds of golf at Wabeek Country Club with open bar with dinner. Topping off the evening with Master of Ceremony Eil Zaret and Comedy show featuring 1968 Detroit Tiger legend John Warden.
This golf outing has grown each year with numerous local and out of state Tiger’s Alumni and MLB friends committing their time for homeless vets.
The likes of Al Kaline, Willie Horton, Jack Morris, Lou Whittaker, Mikey Stanley, Mickey Lolich and many other Tigers, including friends from other major league teams, have committed their support to the homeless vets. Each taking time out of their busy schedules to come golf and support this worthy cause.
Vets Returning Home is a non-profit and non-government funded organization located in Roseville MI dedicated to help our veterans transition into stable lives and staffed entirely by volunteers. VRH operates an 11,000 sq. ft. facility maintaining 43 beds for veterans in crisis. VRH provides transitional housing, disability benefit connection, legal support, employment readiness and placement, life skills training, cooking and nutrition classes, food assistance, and transition into fully furnished apartments.
The Vets Returning Home/Detroit Tigers Alumni golf outing will be this June 25th, 2018 at Wabeek Country Club located at 4000 Clubgate Dr. Bloomfield Hills, MI 48302.
The community is invited to attend annual golf charity event with all proceeds to benefit public charity and non-profit, Vets Returning Home. Individual ticket rates are $300 per golfer.( $1,200 per foursome). Attendees will enjoy 18 rounds of golf with a former Detroit Tiger (bid on specific Tiger) & individual signups required no later than June 18th. Corporate sponsorship opportunities are available and range in levels of generosity from a $250 Hole Sponsorship a $5,000 Title Sponsorship. Golfer registration begins at 11am. Golf ticket includes continental breakfast from 11am – 12pm, 18-hole round of golf with one Tigers Alumni at 12pm, open bar and dinner from 6pm-8pm. Dining entertainment includes 1968 Detroit Tigers comedy legend Jon Warden with Eli Zaret as Master of Ceremonies. Attendees will receive an autographed group picture.
