Golf Academy of America Presents Third Annual Bagroom Invitational
DALLAS (PRWEB) June 11, 2018 -- Golf Academy of America in Dallas announced today that it is hosting its third annual Bagroom Invitational, a golf tournament organized in appreciation of the hard-working hourly employees who work at golf facilities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The event will take place on Monday, June 25 and Tuesday, June 26.
Specifically geared toward golf industry employees, participation in the tournament is limited to the first 80 players or 40 teams to register. Every local golf facility can invite up to four outside service employees or hourly workers. Participants must be high school graduates who are not currently enrolled in Golf Academy of America or the PGA apprentice program.
The event will kick off with a pairings party and skills contest on Monday, June 25 from 6-8 p.m. at the Golf Academy of America in Dallas campus, which is located at 1861 Valley View Lane, Suite 100, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.
Each player and a guest are invited to the campus to network, enjoy appetizers and test their skills using industry-leading technology. All attendees are also entered into a raffle drawing for a chance to win special prizes and will receive a $20 gift card from PGA Tour Superstore just for attending.
The next day, on June 26, two-person teams will compete in a shamble golf tournament held at the Canyon Creek Country Club, located at 625 W. Lookout Drive, Richardson, TX 75080. Following a complimentary boxed lunch, the tournament will kick off with a 2 p.m. shotgun start. Several prizes, including PGA Tour Superstore gift cards, will be awarded at the conclusion of the tournament.
“Hosting the Bagroom Invitation is a win-win for our community,” said Golf Academy of America in Dallas Campus President Mike McDonald. “While our students gain valuable firsthand experience organizing and facilitating a top-notch golf tournament, we are simultaneously able to thank the area’s dedicated and often under-appreciated golf professionals by providing them with an afternoon of friendly competition and comradery.”
The first two Bagroom Invitationals were extremely successful, with more than 160 players representing more than 50 different golf facilities.
