BIA’s Jason Park Honored as Gold Stevie® Award Winner in 2018 American Business Awards
NEW YORK (PRWEB) May 03, 2018 -- BIA, a leading national eDiscovery and digital forensics company, announced today that the company’s vice president of digital forensic services, Jason Park, was named the winner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the Technical Professional of the Year category in the 16th Annual American Business Awards®.
“Jason is highly respected in the digital forensics field, and both our company and our clients have benefited from his expertise and passion. We’re excited to see him receive this national recognition for the work he does,” said BIA President & CEO Brian Schrader.
With more than two decades of experience in the cyber forensics industry, Park’s diverse background includes extensive knowledge of a wide variety of technical skills, such as computer forensics, eDiscovery, litigation support, project consulting and management, software selection and team building. Park served as director of forensics for U.S. Legal Support, Inc., from 2013 to 2017, where he led forensic technicians in providing evidence and testimony in numerous civil litigation cases, such as matters relating to data theft and exiting employees at various client companies.
In 2017, BIA acquired the eDiscovery and Computer Forensics Division of U.S. Legal Support, Inc., and Park and his team became part of BIA. In a few months, Park was quickly promoted to vice president of digital forensic services, and his role involves overseeing and diversifying the company’s comprehensive digital forensic services, including data collection, digital forensics, investigation and analysis services for legal matters of all sizes and complexities.
“The opportunity to add Jason and his forensics team was a major factor in our decision to acquire U.S. Legal Support’s eDiscovery and Computer Forensics Division,” said Schrader. “And we’re impressed with how Jason continues to hone his skills, not only in cyber forensics but across all aspects of eDiscovery.”
In the past year, Park earned his CCFP (Certified Cyber Forensic Professional) certification. Awarded by the International Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2), this certification indicates expertise in forensic techniques and procedures, standards of practice and legal and ethical principles, as well as the ability to apply forensics to other information security disciplines, such as eDiscovery, malware analysis or incident response.
Also in 2017, Park was invited to speak at The Southern Regional Conference of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), an international professional organization that serves as the internal audit profession’s global voice and recognized authority. His presentation, “Departing Employees – A Bigger Threat Than Hackers,” garnered significant praise.
“I am very honored to receive this American Business Award, and I share this recognition with the entire digital forensics team at BIA,” said Park. “Everyone here is committed to providing our clients with the right technology, proven processes and expert advice that they need to ensure their data is managed expertly for their litigation and forensic matters.”
