Edgenuity CEO Sari Factor Named Inaugural “Power of Women” Award Winner by ASU+GSV
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (PRWEB) May 03, 2018 -- Edgenuity, a leading provider of digital curriculum and instructional services for the K-12 market, announced today its CEO, Sari Factor, was honored at The 9th Annual ASU+GSV Summit with the organization’s inaugural Power of Women (“POW!”) Award. This award recognizes female CEOs leading and achieving successful outcomes for companies at scale in the learning and talent technology sector.
Sari joined Edgenuity in 2011 and, under her leadership, the company has become one of the preeminent online learning providers in the K-12 sector, with Edgenuity’s solutions currently being used in 20 of the top 25 U.S. school districts, serving more than three million learners.
“Women are achieving great heights in the education and technology sector and I commend ASU+GSV for establishing this award. It is an honor to be recognized as the inaugural POW! recipient,” said Sari Factor. “I came to Edgenuity knowing that it was a company where we could fulfill a vision of using technology to enhance learning outcomes. Our success is a testament to the great team we’ve built over the years and strong partnerships with school leaders who are implementing technology to provide opportunity and access for their students.”
The 2018 ASU + GSV Summit attracted over 4,000 leaders from across the learning and talent spectrum. Attendees included leaders from the enterprise, investment, higher education, and PreK–12 communities. Over one-third of the founders and CEOs of technology companies presenting at ASU+GSV summits have been women. This figure—well above the average for other technology sectors—is one of the reasons the organization decided to formally recognize these companies’ female leaders, beginning with the recognition of Sari Factor.
The award was presented in conjunction with this year’s ASU+GSV Summit, which took place in San Diego, CA from April 16 - 18.
