Fandor® Partners with Vemba, SpotX on Content Distribution Deal
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) May 03, 2018 -- Fandor®, the movie streaming service with the largest collection of independent films, documentaries, international features and shorts, announced today a partnership with video discovery and distribution platform Vemba. The collaboration will make Fandor’s premium short-form video content such as: Film to Table, Women in Film, The Gush, and SFX Secrets, available to a broad array of publishers and platforms. Inventory management and ad serving will be powered by SpotX, a global video advertising and monetization platform that has invested in and partnered with Vemba to create an end-to-end solution for the syndication and monetization of video content.
The partnership brings Fandor’s entertainment-focused, premium videos to a broader global marketplace by connecting them with established digital publishers and high quality brands looking for highly effective vehicles for advertising. Additionally, through the collaboration with SpotX and Vemba, the company will be able to maximize revenue growth and streamline video demand.
Larry Aidem, President & CEO of Fandor, commented, “Vemba’s groundbreaking technology will allow us to easily simplify and scale our video distribution abilities, while maintaining essential control of Fandor’s proprietary content. More important, the partnership provides us with the opportunity to globally expand viewership of Fandor’s premium videos through Vemba’s vast network of digital publishers.”
Vemba has created the first player-agnostic technology solution for video distribution, allowing publishers to integrate third-party video content and advertising within their preferred editorial process and existing video workflow. Publishers can also feature original and complementary video without needing to adjust for unwieldy third-party players or advertising restrictions.
“Smart content owners like Fandor recognize the importance of broad syndication across well-aligned publishers and diverse platforms,” said Stephen Bach, CEO of Vemba. “We’re thrilled to partner with Fandor and provide the operating system for their distribution activities.”
“We’re excited to elevate Fandor’s unique offering of premium content and video essays found nowhere else. Streamlining their video content distribution process, while serving premium demand in a holistic format, will reduce fragmentation common in this approach. We aim to provide our partners with the flexibility they need to further develop a strategy specific to video engagement,” stated Ben Abbatiello, Vice President of Audience & Distribution Management at SpotX.
