MCALLEN, Texas (PRWEB) May 09, 2018
According to a recent study, more than 28 million people across the nation utilize Pilates to strengthen and tone muscles, improve their posture, flexibility, balance, all while uniting their mind, body, and soul, and thanks the launch of a new, revolutionary Pilates program by Pure Physical Therapy, starting May 1, everyone in McAllen, Texas is now able to do it too.
“We are offering Pilates programs for Rehabilitation and for improving general health and wellness for all individuals,” said Dr. Frank Garza PT, DPT, owner Pure Physical Therapy.
“Incorporating Pilates into our physical therapy clinic for our patients is another tool and guide to recovery. Pilates is a route to wellness that will be available for all patient types including clients with neurological impairments such as strokes, MS, Parkinson’s as well as post-surgical patients. Pilates is also excellent for reducing the effects of aging, osteoporosis, arthritis, back pain, joint pain and restoring health and vitality. Pilates offers another option for the client to excel in physical fitness and achieve goals.”
Pure Physical Therapy, the recipient of the Best of McAllen for Physical Therapy award, according to Garza, wants to do everything that it can to ensure that all of the more than 130,000 residents of McAllen, Texas, has a place in which it can go to for professional solutions that improve their daily lives.
Dr. Amy Garza, co-owner of Pure Physical Therapy with her husband Frank Garza, and the lead physical therapist for the Pilates program, explained that Pilates is a system of exercises using special apparatus, designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness. Pilates is similar to yoga but emphasizes your body's core — the abdomen, obliques, lower back, inner and outer thigh, butt, and more.
“Pilates exercises will be instructed to patients on mat tables, and equipment such as the reformer, trapeze table and Pilates chair,” Amy Garza noted.
As to how customers rate Pure Physical Therapy, one patient, identified as Sara C., said the clinic provider her with one of the best experiences of her life and recommended others with visit.
“Before I got therapy I was feeling a lot of pain on my arm, limited activities, really frustrated of not being able to do basic personal needs without pain, struggle, or help,” Sara revealed, before adding, “I thought I had to suffer pain and not normal use of my arm forever. During therapy I felt better, my regular activities have improved. The pain is just sometimes and not as strong as before. I feel spoiled, because the staff really does care about my pain and my arm.”
But she isn’t the only one raving about Pure Physical Therapy. A second patient identified as 71-year-old Gloria A., said she suffers from arthritis in her knees, but found relief after undergoing Pure Physical Therapy’s program.
“I started having pain about 15 years ago,” she recalled. “I couldn't stand or walk for long periods of time, and surely not more than 30 minutes. Since I started coming to Pure Therapy, in four weeks’ time I feel more balance when I walk. I can bend down without a lot of pain in my knees when taking a bath, washing my feet or picking up something on floor. I feel more energized when I get up in the morning. I feel more strength in my legs, and can walk more with less pain. I want to thank all the staff for doing a wonderful job. I highly recommend them.”
