Osmosis, a Seattle-based company seeking to unite the digital and physical worlds for consumers, currently focused on sports audiences, today announced emerging media veteran Bruce Woolsey as Chief Operating Officer and advertising executive Clark Kokich to its Board of Advisors. Both were executives in the growth of Avenue A | Razorfish to a global leader in digital media and paid search.

Osmosis connects the digital and physical worlds for guest audiences entering any venue environment or entertainment district via an IoT platform approach for:

  • Guests seeking an easier, more interactive experience when they attend events
  • Marketers demanding richer, more impactful and measurable fan engagement
  • Destination venues wanting to scale dynamic digital experiences for guests

Bruce Woolsey was Vice-President for Advanced Media Solutions at Avenue A | Razorfish, responsible for agency strategy around emerging media and technologies. For fifteen years he partnered with marketers at companies like Microsoft, Expedia, Apple and Best Buy to spawn new technologies like customer targeting and performance-based networks. After its acquisition by Microsoft, Bruce Woolsey continued as the Director of Vertical Insights at Microsoft Advertising, leading a senior team of experts supporting the Microsoft Advertising sales team with industry level solutions.

“We’re taking our company – digitizing physical engagement with sports audiences – to the next level,” says Russ Stromberg, CEO, Osmosis. “͞The addition of Bruce increases our team’s ability to deliver the direct to consumer interaction brands crave when they spend their sports marketing dollars.”

Adds Woolsey: ͞ “The Osmosis business mission is what has me so excited. Every day we are working with great partners, building momentum, and educating the market to expand our footprint. We’re helping brands and teams flourish by providing sponsors a platform to reach fans with engaging and measurable opportunities – and for fans to have a richer and more interactive experience at the game or anywhere the partner brands want to meet them in key markets.”

Osmosis has assembled an executive and advisory team experienced in Internet of Things, digital adverting, professional sports and consumer products. The newest member of the Board of Advisors is Clark Kokich.

Mr. Kokich currently serves on the board of directors at Acxiom, Inc., a leader in data science innovations, and previously served as executive chairman of the board of directors of Marchex, Inc., a mobile and online advertising company based in Seattle, from 2015 to 2016 and as chief strategy officer of Marchex from 2013 to 2015. For the prior 14 years Mr. Kokich was CEO and an executive at Razorfish (Avenue A | Razorfish). In his early career he spent 12 years in traditional advertising, including the position of executive vice president/managing director for Cole & Weber, a division of Ogilvy & Mather. He is a director of Childhaven, a Seattle children’s charity. He previously served as a director of Rocket Fuel Inc., an advertising technology company, until its merger in September 2017 into Sizmek, a privately held company.
