BOURNE, Mass. (PRWEB) May 15, 2018 -- Onset, a world leader in data loggers, today announced the company has been awarded a $65,000 workforce training grant. This project is funded by a Workforce Training Fund grant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development. The grant program is administered by Commonwealth Corporation for the purpose of providing resources to employers to train Massachusetts workers. The grant provides funding to train more than 100 employees at Onset’s corporate headquarters on Cape Cod, MA.
“Onset believes in continued investments in our most valuable resource – our employees,” said Jim Towey, president of Onset. “We are excited to be able to leverage this workforce training grant to help expand and increase our employees’ knowledge and skills.”
Through the grant, Onset employees will be trained in a variety of areas, including Customer Service and Sales, Leadership and Management, and Agile Project Management. Courses will be taught by professors at both Cape Cod Community College and Bristol Community College.
