In the fall of 2017, a New York Times best-selling book, "Pussy: A Reclamation," fell into the hands of nine diverse women. Inspired by the #MeToo Movement, they decided to bring a light hearted approach to the taboo subjects of sex, shame, and what it really takes to bridge men and women in a harmonious way, from the bedroom to the boardroom.
What started out as a life changing book club quickly turned into a sex edutainment, pleasure positive podcast, with heart. The tagline “the sex ed you wish you got...and then some” is an appropriate one. From Nebraskan to Iranian to Afro Panamanian, this diverse group of powerhouse women ranges from 24-51 years old. They discuss everything from the nine types of orgasms to the health benefits of masturbation to gender harmony.
“It was refreshing to hear women in the midst of #MeToo championing men in their discussions, rather than bashing us. And on top of it, the show is hilarious. I’ve shared it with a dozen of my guy friends and we’ve all learned a lot from it,” says audio engineer, Ethan Roberts. The first season even dedicated two of the twenty-six episodes, to “Cock Talk,” where the hosts of the show interview men about their own sexual experiences growing up, toxic masculinity and what they really want in bed.
With the #MeToo Movement in full swing, this raw podcast could not be more timely. The Cl*t Talk cast is guided by a common purpose to reclaim the power of pleasure, to shed the veil of shame that society places on sex for women, and to awaken their own sensuality. “Cl*t Talk has completely transformed me and my husband’s sex life,” says newlywed and cast member, Sugar. And they are dedicated to bringing their audience along with them in that awakening process--no matter who’s listening.
We have received so much encouraging support from women, men and the LGBTQ community. “We’ve been especially blown away by the response from gay men! They were the last group we thought would be interested in a show called Cl*t Talk, but they love it!” says, Tamiko Schwolsky, Director of Strategic Initiatives.
“The first season of Cl*t Talk includes a slew of thoughtful celebrity guests including, Julie Lake of 'Orange is the New Black,' Rachelle Lefevre of 'Empire,' Marguerite Moreau from 'Wet Hot American Summer,” and the wonderful actor and health advocate, Fran Drescher," says Business Development Director, Madison Holland.
