Preventive Controls Qualified Individual Course For Human Food To Meet FDA Requirements

The July training course in Honolulu will enable food processors, manufacturers, distributors, and packaging companies based in the Hawaiian Islands to obtain a PCQI.

The Food Safety Solutions Consultants, a leading international food safety consulting company specializing in creating a global culture of food safety, has announced a July instructor-led Preventive Controls Qualified Individual course (PCQI) for Human Food, on location in Honolulu, Hawaii. This course is essential for those in the food industry to meet compliance established by the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Preventive Controls for Human Food.

FSMA Requirements
The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Preventive Controls for Human Food became final September 2016, requiring food facilities to establish and implement a written food safety plan, preventive controls, hazard analysis, a recall plan, and more. This plan must be prepared and maintained by a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI). A PCQI indicates a qualified individual has completed training in the development and application of risk-based preventive controls, enabling an individual to develop and execute a food safety system.
