US HealthConnect Inc. (USH) announced that its President and CEO Frank Russomano has been elected to the National Board of Trustees of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, the largest non-profit, voluntary, health organization dedicated to finding cures for inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD). Russomano joins the leadership team for a three-year term to advance the Foundation’s mission to fund research; provide educational resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public; and furnish supportive services for those afflicted with IBD.

“It’s an honor to be joining the great leadership team at the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation,” said Russomano. “Having been touched by Crohn’s in our family, I am grateful to be working with a fantastic group of passionate individuals who are committed to finding better treatments and possibly cures for IBD.”

Russomano is also President & CEO of ReachMD, one of six USH subsidiaries. ReachMD improves the knowledge and performance of healthcare professionals through clinical education; it has developed a long-standing relationship with the Foundation through a pro bono Series titled ‘Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Perspectives’. The educational series has 39 peer-to-peer interviews offering clinical insights on research, treatments, and management of IBD. The Series impacts tens of thousands of clinicians annually. In addition, USH subsidiaries are all actively involved in the Foundation charities, participating in annual events, fundraising walks, and more.
