Super Boat International Welcomes Racing Fans to the 9th Annual Thunder on Cocoa Beach Super Boat Grand Prix
COCOA BEACH, Fla. (PRWEB) May 18, 2018 -- Super Boat International, the premier national and international sanctioning body of offshore powerboat racing around the globe, will host their first race of the year where they will welcome fans and race teams from around the world to the 9th annual Thunder on Cocoa Beach taking place May 18-20 with a series of events leading up to the race on Sunday, May 20th. This year, Super Boat will make the complete event available for free viewing on their Live Stream channel.
Over twenty racing teams from around the country and abroad will be lining up along the shores of the Florida East Coast city to compete in the annual power boat race grand prix. Enthusiastic race team fans, and Super Boat’s dedicated followers will be attendance to cheer on their teams and celebrate Super Boat’s first race of the year.
“We couldn’t be any more excited to see our favorite race teams gathering once again for a big race,” says John Carbonell, former powerboat racer and president of Super Boat International. “Over the years we have grown very close to our fans, race teams and sponsors and we appreciate all of the wonderful support they have given us. Thunder on Cocoa Beach begins with the official High Octane Kick-Off Party at Juice N’ Java Cocoa Beach from 6-10 pm, where everyone is invited to enjoy food and drinks and to have the opportunity to meet the race teams. A VIP event to meet the racers will be on Saturday from 6pm to 10 pm at Rising Tide Tap & Table in Port Canaveral. The races themselves will be held Sunday with the first round starting at noon. The race will be followed by the After Burner Party at Coconuts on the Beach in Cocoa Beach, and then by the Awards Presentation at the Hilton Cocoa Beach beginning at 6pm.
