Rigaku Presents Latest X-ray Analytical Technology at AAPG 2018
SALT LAKE CITY (PRWEB) May 21, 2018 -- X-ray analytical instrument manufacturer Rigaku Corporation is pleased to announce its attendance at the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) 2018 Annual Convention & Exhibition (https://www.rigaku.com/en/node/8259https://www.rigaku.com/en/node/8259). The event is being hosted by the Utah Geological Association at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
AAPG has been the core of the petroleum geoscience world for over 100 years, and is once again bringing together prominent geoscientists from around the world to see the latest science and technology, in both the program and exhibition halls.
X-ray analytical techniques have long been key tools in geological research and for elemental analysis of petroleum and petrochemicals. X-ray fluorescence (XRF) is the key technique for characterizing the element composition of geological materials, and X-ray diffraction (https://www.rigaku.com/en/products/xrd) is employed to quantitatively measure phase composition. Rigaku provides a number of unique solutions for these determinations and is presenting the latest X-ray analytical technology at booth 1614.
The next generation Rigaku MiniFlex benchtop X-ray diffraction instrument, a multipurpose purpose analytical instrument that can perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of polycrystalline materials, is being featured. The new MiniFlex™ X-ray diffractometer is the newest addition to MiniFlex series of benchtop X-ray diffraction analyzers from Rigaku, which began with the introduction of the original MiniFlex system in 1973.
