SDS to offer FIM+ for z/OS as File Integrity Monitoring Solution for Mainframe
MINNEAPOLIS (PRWEB) May 23, 2018 -- Software Diversified Services™ (SDS) is pleased to announce its partnership agreement with MainTegrity to distribute SDS FIM+ for z/OS, a new File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) solution for the IBM® mainframe. While verifying data integrity on the mainframe, FIM+ for z/OS offers organizations more oversight with on demand audits and an added, critical layer of protection against harmful breaches and malicious attacks.

FIM has existed on other platforms for some time but the mainframe has been left unprotected in this area. Now all platforms are required to have a mechanism in place to detect any change to all data and software files. A changelog and reviews are no longer sufficient. Currently, the PCI DSS v3.2 Requirement 11.5 requires a FIM solution in place to actively monitor for changes, which is the core competency of FIM+ for z/OS. This product is highly compatible with other mainframe tools and can be utilized for continuous monitoring and detection, as a supplement to existing network monitoring efforts, and for on demand audits.
