Aeroseal duct sealing technology wins 2018 Product of The Year + Judges Choice awards

Aeroseal LLC today announced that its aerosolized duct sealing technology, aeroseal, received a Top Product of the Year Award as well as the publication’s top honor, Judge’s Choice Award, in this year’s Environmental Leader Product and Project Awards. The Product of the Year awards are presented each year to select products that provide companies with energy and environmental benefits. Among all of this year’s annual award winners, a single product is chosen to receive the Judge’s Choice award. For 2018, aeroseal duct sealing received both honors.

Developed with funding from the U.S. Department of Energy, aeroseal duct sealing technology has helped hundreds of businesses and building owners make dramatic improvements to the energy efficiency of their buildings and subsequently reduce overall energy costs.

One Judge said, “The documented reductions in both ductwork leaks and energy expenses are impressive. It is obvious that the results (of using aeroseal technology) could go a long way in achieving a company’s sustainability goals.”

Another added, “Using this duct sealing technology represents a huge cost savings in just labor alone. It’s obvious that the results it reaches could go a long way in helping companies achieve their sustainability goals.”

Aeroseal duct sealing technology was singled out for this award based upon a rigorous point system scored by a panel of independent judges headed by Peter Bussey of LNS Research. Other judges included representatives from Ball Aerospace, Best Buy, Harbec, Kellogg, Marriott, Nike, Sears Holdings Corporation, Tesla and other industry leading businesses.

“Duct leakage has long been identified as a facilitating factor in energy waste,” said Aeroseal LLC CEO Amit Gupta, “and now that there is finally a fast, effective way to solve this problem, building owners have begun to employ a new strategy for significantly improving the energy efficiency of their buildings and reducing operating costs.”
