Low-Code Digital Transformation provider recognized in latest report for its integration strengths, portability and licensing options

AgilePoint, a developer of intuitive Low-Code platforms for quickly building and future-proofing digital automation apps, today announced that Gartner, Inc., has included AgilePoint in its latest 2018 report titled “Magic Quadrant for Enterprise High-Productivity Application Platform as a Service”. The report can be purchased at https://www.gartner.com/doc/3872957/magic-quadrant-enterprise-highproductivity-application. AgilePoint was previously included in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Intelligent Business Process Management Suites report in 2017.

Gartner Report Highlights

Gartner evaluates top vendors from around the world using a rigorous process to determine inclusion in their final reports. AgilePoint NX is a low-code development platform that allows both developers and “citizen programmers” to easily implement and deploy cross-functional/cross-organizational business apps into digital processes across multiple environments and cloud platforms.

High-productivity application platform as a service (hpaPaaS) solutions offer services for the simplified design and development of applications. Gartner highlighted the strength of AgilePoint NX to support portability across multiple clouds and multiple SaaS with an on-premise option. The report also recognizes AgilePoint’s innovative licensing structure based on concurrent logged-in users, allowing enterprises to “share” licenses between users. Customers also gave AgilePoint higher than average scores for negotiations and flexibility of contracts.

Another key strength Gartner highlighted is AgilePoint’s integration of ML-based application routing and its continuous expansion of AI-driven application developments. AgilePoint scored above average for approval of its integration aspects. AgilePoint NX came in second in the Magic Quadrant for its improvement of business process automation. This makes the platform particularly attractive to “process-centric” application design or architectures.

True Future-Proofing: The Missing Link

Aside from the areas identified and analyzed by Gartner, another area of strength for AgilePoint is its focus on ensuring the apps created by organizations are ‘future-proof’ to deliver sustainable digital transformation. Its “build once and re-use many times” feature defines a new concept in application development. As an organization’s business needs evolve during its digital transformation journey, the same critical business applications can adaptively evolve at the same pace.

Real, effective future-proof digital transformation isn’t just about “fast and easy” app development. It is more about creating sustainable apps that improve and automate processes, easily scale across the enterprise, and can adapt to tomorrow’s technological and business needs. Organizations need to be cognizant of both internal and external systems and channels, each of which have hundreds if not thousands of dependent processes.

AgilePoint NX has what they call the 80:20:20 guideline. Using their platform, 80% of the mission critical business applications can be developed in less than 20% of the time of a traditional software development project. The development involves 20% or less of the skillsets of what a traditional software development project would consume.

Apps created with AgilePoint NX provide the same consistent engaging experience across more than 50 of the most popular platforms that are central to digital transformation, from collaboration to customer engagement, including Salesforce, Netsuite, SharePoint, Office 365, Dynamics CRM, Box, Dropbox, Google, Oracle, SAP, 3D PLM, WordPress, Slack, etc., without having to rebuild for each individual platform. This “build once and re-use many times” advancement frees enterprises from having to rebuild or refactor the same business app.

Global enterprises using AgilePoint include Toyota, Honeywell, L’Oréal, Adidas, Panasonic, Corning and Bridgestone, among many others. AgilePoint NX runs in the cloud as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application. It can also be run in a private cloud or as an on-premises system.
