Izzo Takes Steps to Help End Childhood Poverty
MACEDON, N.Y. (PRWEB) May 28, 2018 -- One billion children worldwide lack one or more basic living necessity. To lower this staggering statistic and help put an end to childhood poverty, the Izzo Golf team is participating in Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day campaign on Thursday, May 24th.
The money raised for Red Nose Day will go to help children in some of the neediest communities in America, as well as go to charities that have partnered with this campaign. Comic Relief has already raised over 100 million dollars in the last three years.
The Izzo Golf family believes that no child should ever go to bed hungry, lack an education, and/or not receive medical care. In an effort to help end childhood poverty, the Izzo Golf employees will be wearing the Walgreens’ red noses to show their support and help join the mission to make a difference in children’s lives, not only in America, but around the world.
According to Comic Relief, in the past three years, over 8 million young lives have been changed due to this campaign. The Izzo Golf family hopes to help save more children every year by participating in this campaign, as well as participating in future charitable events to come.
Once we heard about Red Nose Day, the decision to participate was an absolute definite. As Izzo’s President, Joe Cupido, puts it, “At Izzo, we love to help the community in any way possible, and we love to have fun, so participating in National Red Nose Day was an obvious fit for us.”
