This Memorial Day Weekend, Mediaplanet today announces the launch of this year’s Disaster Prep & First Response campaign. In the wake of the 59 natural disasters that impacted the United States and neighboring islands in 2017, this campaign celebrates the heroic work of our first responders while also advocating for increased awareness and education on the necessary steps citizens should be taking to prepare.

Joining us in this fight is Firman Power Equipment, who last year provided 3 million generators for Puerto Rico aid relief. The print component of “Disaster Prep & First Response” is distributed within the weekend edition of USA Today in the North Central Florida, Carolinas, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle markets, with a circulation of approximately 250,000 copies and an estimated readership of 750,000. The digital component is distributed nationally, through a vast social media strategy, and across a network of top news sites and partner outlets – reaching 182 million readers nationwide.
