Public Charter School in Nashville Selects Leading Transportation Group to Manage Transportation System Providing Cost Savings and Increased Efficiencies

We are pleased to partner with TransPar in providing our students and their families with a safe and efficient school transportation option.

The TransPar Group of Companies announced today that one of its organizations, TransPar, an industry leader in providing transportation management and staffing solutions, has partnered with STEM Preparatory Academy, a leading public charter school specializing in science, technology, engineering and mathematics in Nashville, Tennessee, to manage its school transportation system and fleet operations.

“We are excited about this opportunity with STEM Prep to provide a comprehensive, fully customized transportation solution,” stated Doug Martin, President of TransPar. “Our collaborative efforts will allow STEM Prep to focus on their core competencies while utilizing our expertise and creative thinking to manage the transportation system through our integrated solutions resulting in enhanced service delivery, long-term cost savings and increased efficiencies.”

“We are pleased to partner with TransPar in providing our students and their families with a safe and efficient school transportation option,” said Charlie Williams, Director of Finance and Operations at STEM. “Our students begin and end their days on a school bus. Having a transportation partner that provides them with a safe, reliable, and nurturing environment is an essential element of our school culture.”

The new fleet will feature 71-passenger vehicles equipped with Zonar GPS, Child Check-Mate safety systems, stop arms, 4-head camera systems and SafeStop, the premier school bus tracking app.

Another element included in the contract will be the utilization of TransPar’s proprietary cloud-based Incident Management System that will allow the company, the schools, and administrators to view, track, monitor, and collaborate on addressing and solving issues that may occur on a vehicle, as required by the new state law in Tennessee.

“Student transportation is a complex and difficult business and we are thankful to have an experienced partner to help us navigate the process in a cost-effective manner,” added Williams.
