New Service Improve Employees' Productivity and Attendance

Innovative Senior Solutions announces the launch of its new Senior Care Network employee assistance service for Georgia employers. According to the National Alliance for Caregiving and AARP, more than 65 million people in the US provide an average of 20 hours per week of care for an elderly, chronically ill, or disabled loved one, and 70% of employees who provide care suffer work-related issues. In response to this growing concern, Innovative Senior Solutions has developed a service to provide working family caregivers and employers in Georgia with resources to find quality in-home care providers.

Innovative Senior Solutions acts as the preferred provider of senior care services. If an Innovative Senior Solutions office is not located near an employee, the Senior Care Network coordinates with a company’s human resources team or existing Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to connect employees with high-quality, pre-vetted senior care providers throughout the state of Georgia, including:

  • Care management providers
  • Skilled and non-medical home care agencies
  • Nursing homes and long-term care facilities
  • Assisted living/retirement communities
  • Adult day care centers

“Today’s working caregivers and employers need help,” says Innovative Senior Solutions CEO Eshonda Blue. “Connecting employees to professional senior care providers reduces stress, improves work-life balance, and can enhance employee productivity by 50%. It allows employees to stay on the job, miss fewer work days, and remain focused at work because they know their loved ones are being well cared for.”

The Senior Care Network can help employers reduce costs associated with employees missing work or suffering from poor productivity because of caregiving responsibilities. According to an AARP MetLife Study, a full-time employee caring for a loved one costs an employer over $2,100 annually. But per the Society for Human Resource Management, every $1 spent on a senior care workplace solution, like the Senior Care Network, yields a return of $3 - $14 in productivity, retention, and reduced absenteeism.
