Travel Tech Con 2018 Leads Discussions on Latest Travel Technology Disruptors, Hosts First Blockchain Workshop Addressing Decentralized Travel Distribution
SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) May 30, 2018 -- If you have an idea for a new travel start-up or developed a new app that will revolutionize the travel industry, then the annual Travel Tech Con Conference in San Francisco from June 7-9 is the perfect destination. What began as a meetup group with five attendees three years ago has blossomed into an annual event that plays host to hundreds of start-up companies and future thinkers looking for ways to disrupt the travel industry with new technologies. Marina Berezovska, founder of Travel Tech Con, went One-on-One with ExpertFlyer.com to explain how the conference has evolved and what attendees can expect to see, and learn, at Travel Tech Con 2018.
"We wanted to create an environment where travel startup founders had a safe place to discuss their thoughts, ideas, and challenges faced by small, underfunded entrepreneurs with really incredible ideas,” explains Ms. Berezovska. “It has become a great platform to share ideas and collaborate on ways to improve the overall travel experience through the advancement of technology.”
The conference will host a “workshop day” which will allow numerous startups to demonstrate new technologies, explain how they will change the way consumers travel, and hopefully gain the interest of investors who share their vision for the future. One workshop will share thoughts about decentralized travel distribution using Blockchain, a first in the travel industry. All workshops will be open to anyone with a Travel Tech Con pass. ‘The future of air mobility, the airline industry, and urban mobility in general, are some of the topics that will be addressed in these workshops,” Berezovska added.
“Travel Tech Con has essentially become a public think tank for startups and anyone else with a vested interest in the travel industry,” explains Chris Lopinto, president and co-founder of ExpertFlyer.com, itself a travel startup that launched in early 2005. “It is a great forum to share ideas, learn about new trends in travel technology, and a great place to be ‘discovered’ by VCs and other investors looking for the next wave of travel technology.”
