REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (PRWEB) May 31, 2018
DC Systems, Inc., a leading provider of integrated software solutions for power systems and grid-operators, is pleased to announce the addition of Kenneth Munson as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.
In his new role, Munson will bring valuable leadership experience during a period of rapid growth for DC Systems. Munson will lead operations and engineering and be responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives. Additionally, Munson will spearhead the development, communication and implementation of an effective global growth strategy with utilities, EPCs, developers, and large power generators.
"Ken is a seasoned and trusted leader who has consistently delivered results in his professional career. He is uniquely qualified to drive strategic prioritization and accountability within DC Systems, with a laser-focus on operational excellence and revenue growth," said Doug Campbell, co-founder and CEO of DC Systems. "I have tremendous confidence in Ken's ability to align DC Systems’ world-class innovation engine and partnerships with industry-leading operational practices to extend our market and product leadership."
Munson has extensive experience creating, commercializing, and scaling disruptive technologies including cloud-based demand management systems, grid analytics, intelligent energy storage and industrial automation. Most recently, Munson was CEO of Sunverge Energy, a startup he co-founded in 2009 that provides a cloud-based platform for managing fleets of intelligent energy storage systems and virtual power plants serving utilities and consumers in the US, Canada and Australia.
“DC Systems is well positioned to be a disruptive force in the market. The energy industry is going through tremendous change. Traditional grid management systems and distributed energy resource management systems are converging as more consumers generate their own power, cities adopt microgrids, and more renewable energy comes online," said Munson. "With DC Systems’ 28-year history working with utilities, developers and EPCs, the company has gained a unique and valuable perspective on customers’ needs as they compete in the evolving energy market."
