John Parker Appointed General Manager at Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center in Branson
BRANSON, Mo. (PRWEB) June 02, 2018 -- John Parker is the new general manager of the Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center overlooking Table Rock Lake in southwest Missouri.
Having recently received the AAA Four Diamond rating for the 20th consecutive year, the Chateau on the Lake Resort, Spa & Convention Center features 43,500 square feet of meeting space, a 14,000-square-foot full-service spa, the Chateau Marina, elegant dining, and indoor and outdoor pools. Parker will be responsible for all operations of the lakefront resort.
Prior to assuming the GM role at the Chateau on the Lake, Parker served in both multi-property and property-level roles, including responsibilities for operating AAA Four Diamond boutique properties and hotels of nationally recognized brands. Parker was previously a regional manager for Chartwell Hospitality with primary oversight for full-service hotels and pre-opening properties. His career also includes serving as vice president of the hospitality division for WRDC and as general manager for the 476-room San Mateo Marriott in California on behalf of Evolution Hospitality. With Marcus Hotels and Resorts, Parker was general manager of the Hotel Phillips, a boutique hotel in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Lynn University in Florida.
Parker is an active member of the hospitality industry and business communities. He has served on several boards, including the New Mexico Hospitality Association, the Greater Houston Business Council, and the Hotel & Lodging Association of Greater Kansas City. He has been recognized by a leading global hotel brand, including for “General Manager of the Year,” for “Hotel Opening of the Year,” and with a “Humanitarian Award” for hurricane relief efforts in the Houston area. Over his two-decade career, Parker has led the charge on advocating to help those in the community through blood drives, book drives, and meal programs at homeless shelters.
